Bronson.

I made a brief mention of the movie Bronson in my "Batman Rising" post, but I think it really deserves it's own separate thread. Some of you have probably heard of this movie, but I don't think many of you have seen it. I had never even heard of it until around 3 or so months ago, when a local theater decided to give it a midnight show.
Bronson is the true story of prison inmate Michael Gordon Peterson, who has been dubbed as Britain's most violent and expensive inmate ever, with 12 different hostage-taking incidents, innumerable fights with inmates and guards, and over 750,000 pounds worth of property damage. Originally sentenced to seven years in prison in 1974 for armed robbery, Peterson realized just how much fun prison was, and has remained there for all but 131 days since his initial sentence. During one of the (brief) periods where Peterson was in between prison sentences, he used his fighting experience and became fairly well known as a bare-knuckle boxer, which led to him changing his name to Charles Bronson (Yes, after the American actor) after his manager recommended it would better suit him. At 210 pounds, and holding several world records for feats of strength, I wouldn't want to be one of the guards in charge of controlling this man. To give you some idea of this his hijinks, this was an incident that happened within the last 4 months;
"On 12 November 2010, Bronson was involved in another incident in Wakefield prison’s F Wing, when he stripped naked, covered himself in butter and attacked six guards. Covering himself with butter apparently made him harder to control. Another six warders were brought in and finally restrained him."
Yes, things like this happen throughout the movie. It's no wonder hes spent the majority of his 36 years in solitary confinement, or been moved to different prisons no less than 120 times.

Here's a picture of this madman. Notice the muscles? Yeah, those come from doing 3,000 push-ups daily.

  Here's a picture of Tom Hardy. Kinda sissy looking next to the terrifying Bronson.

And here's the transformation Hardy made to become Bronson. I'd say he did a pretty good job.
To put it simply, Hardy dominates this role. Everything about how he played the role seems damn near perfect.

If you still don't feel like watching this movie, take a look at the trailer below. If you STILL don't want to see it after this trailer, there's probably something wrong with you.
